Broad bean-peas curry

a spicy side dish

this is a spicy accompaniment you can try with any of your rotis or rice.u may try this without onions too.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 200 gms broad beans
    • 1/2 cup green peas
    • 3 tsps grated coconut
    • 1 small onion sliced(optional)
    • 4 whole red chillies 
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric
    • 1/2 tsp mustard and jeera
    • few curry leaves
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    1. Boil the braod beans and green peas with salt and turmeric adding 1/2 cup water.
    2. Roast the coconut and the red chilli and grind to dry powder
    3. Heat oil and season with mustard and jeera and curry leaves.
    4. Fry onions and the coconut and red chilli powder.
    5. Now add the boiled vegetables and toss in heat for few minutes and check the seasoning.
