Yummy n mouth lickering,very tasty karnataka dish

Very yummy n tasty to eat

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 3 cup cooked Rice
    • 6 small pink color brinjals cut into small pieces
    • 10 curry leaves
    • 1small cup of tamarind pulp
    • few coriander leaves
    • 3tbsp oil
    • salt as per taste
    Ingredients to grind to a corse powder:
    • 2 tbsp jeera
    • 1/2 cup channa dal
    • 1/2 cup urad dal
    • 1/2 cup grated coconut
    • a pinch of asoefitida
    • 6 red chillies
    • 2tbsp coriander seeds
    • 2tbsp peanuts
    • Ingredients for seasoning
    • 1tsp mustard seeds
    • 1tsp urad dal
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric
    • a pinch of asoefitida(hing)
    • 2-3 red chillies

    Directions

    • Cook the rice and spread it in a plate and allow it to cool so that the grains don't stick to each other
    • Add 3 tbsp oil in and heat the oil
    • After oil is hot add the mustard seeds,urad dal, red chillies,hing,turmeric
    • Then add brinjals and fry nicely until it is cooked well
    • Then add the tamarind pulp into it and stir it nicely and cook until the brinjals become soft
    • After this add the ground powder into it  and mix it well
    • Into this gravy add the cooked rice and salt as per taste and mix well
    • Close the pan with a lid just for 2 minutes so that the masal enters into the rice and mixes well
    • Add chopped coriander leaves and cover it for 2 minutes.
    • Well its done now!!!!!!!!!!
