Chicken Haldighati

whole coriander seeds and peppercorns combined deliciously with chicken

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1/2 kg chicken with bones-cut into 6 pcs
    • 5 onoins - cut into fine rings (circles)
    • 1tbsp lemon juice
    • 5 tbsp oil
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup cream or well beaten malai
    • 1.5 tbsp chopped coriender

          wet paste

    • 1 cup dahi
    • 2 green chillies, 1" pc ginger
    • 1.5 tsp saboot dhania (whole coriander pwr )
    • 1 tsp jeera ( cumin seeds)
    • 6 saboot kali mirch (peppercorns)
    • 4 laung (cloves)
    • 1tbs haldi (turmric powder)
    • 3/4 tsp corinder powder
    • 1/2 tsp gram masala
    • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1.5 tsp salt or to taste

     

     

     

    Directions

    1. Grind all ingredients of the wet paste together in a mixer to a paste
    2. Put oil & onion rings in a pot and cook for 10 min.
    3. Add chicken , mix.Cover it and cook for 8 min.
    4. Add the prepared grounded wet paste and chopped coriander. Mix well and cook for 5 min.
    5. Add milk and cream or malai .Mix and cook for 2 min
    6. Remove from fire .Sprinkle lemon juice.Serve Hot
