Banana Stem Salad

vazhathandu salad is very good for health.Please buy tender one.roundwise it shd be max.1.2 inches.As this is salad,don't have to soak in diluted buttermilk water.after chopping just temper it and serve immediately.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1 cup Chopped Banana Stem or 6 inches
    • 1 tsp Mustard 
    • 1/2 tsp  Hing
    • 1/2 tsp green chilli,finely chopped
    • 1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger
    • 1/2 tsp Oil for tadka
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1/2 Lemon  to squeeze
    • 1 tsp chopped Coriander leaves

    Directions

    1. Peel the outer shiny skin of the stem & cut it round & remove the thread.It will come round & round.
    2. In a small Kadai,heat oil and add mustard & after it splutters,add hing,green chilli & ginger.
    3. Add this to the bowl of chopped banana stem & add Salt & coriander leaves.
    4. Squeeze lemon & mix well.
    5. Very healthy & fresh in summer.
