Mushroom Rice

Quick & Easy Lunch

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1½ cup of Basmati Rice (Any Flavoured Rice)
    • ½ cup of Mushrooms (sliced, can increase the quantity as per your preference)
    • 1 Large Onion
    • ½ Tomato
    • 1 piece of Garlic
    • 1 piece of Ginger
    • ½ tbsp Red Chilli Powder
    • ½ tbsp Pulao Masala
    • Turmeric
    • Chopped Coriander
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil

    Directions

    1. Cook the Basmati Rice in a Rice cooker (can add a pinch of salt), once done can be kept aside
    2. In a pan, add oil, chopped garlic, ginger.
    3. Add onion once the garlic/ginger has turned lightly brown.
    4. Fry onions till transparent and then add tomatoes.
    5. Once the tomatoes are all done mixed well with the onions and other ingredients add mushrooms to this mixture. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
    6. Add all the spices - Turmeric, Chilli Powder, Pulao Masala,Salt.
    7. Cover the pan with a lid (Pl don't add water to this dish)and let it cook for about 5-8 minutes
    8. Add coriander and cooked rice and mix well.
    9. This can be served with Raita or Salad.
