Onion Rice

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup Rice soaked and  Cooked
    • 5 nos.Onion Sliced lengthwise
    • 1 tsp Mustard 
    • 1 tsp Urad dal 
    • 2 tsp Chana Dal
    • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder, Asefotida
    • Ginger - small piece chopped
    • 2 Green Chilli
    • 2 Red Chilli
    • 1 tsp Garam Masala
    • 2 tbsp Coriander chopped
    • 1 tbsp Oil 
    • Salt, to taste

     

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a pan and add Mustard.After it splutters then add Urad dal,Chana Dal,Ginger,Green Chilli,Red Chilli,Turmeric and Asefotida. Let the dals color change into light brown.
    2. Add Onion and fry till golden  brown and add Garam masala and Salt.
    3. Mix well with the Cooked Rice.
    4. Garnish with Coriander and serve.
    5. You can also add Jeera ,Saunf,Garlic,Cashew as per ur taste.

    few curry leaves can also be added
