Dahi Fish Curry

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 pomfret (cut into thin slices)
    • 1 cup plain yoghurt
    • 1 large onion (chopped)
    • 5 cloves crushed Garlic
    • 1 chopped tomato
    • 2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1 tsp coriander  powder
    • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
    • curry leaves - a sprig
    • salt to taste
    • 4 tbsp oil
    •  

    Directions

    1. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the garlic until golden brown.
    2. Add the fenugreek seeds and fry for a minute.
    3. Then add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
    4. Add tomatoes ,chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well. Cook  for 3-4 mins .
    5. pour in  2 cups of water  and boil it for 3 mins. now add the fish , curry leaves  and salt and cook for 10 minutes or till done.Stir the yoghurt and add to the boiled fish and cook for 3 mins.
    6. Serve hot  with fried curry leaves.
