Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1/2 kg chicken (boneless)
    • 1 kg basmati rice
    • 1 tsp daniya , red chilli , turmeric powder
    • 1 & 1/2 tbsp ghee
    • 1&1/2 tsp garlic ginger paste
    • 1 & 1/2 red chilli paste
    • 1 bowl chopped onion
    • 1 bowl cut tomato
    • salt to taste
    • soumf, lavang, elaichi, cardamom
    • water

    Directions

    1. Put chicken in a bowl, add dhaniya powder, red chilli powder,salt , turmeric & marinade
    2. Put a deep bottom pan on stove add ghee into it.
    3. Add onion, garlic ginger paste, red chilli paste, tomato & saute for a little while.
    4. Now add chicken & mix well . then add sufficient  water to submerge & cook for 15-20 mts.
    5. Then add  sounf, lavan, elaichi, cardamom & mix well.
    6. Now add the basmati rice in it & mix into it.
    7. Now add sufficient water  to it & top with fresh pudina & coriander.
    8. Cook for 15-20 mts.
    9. Serve hot in a  brass bottom pot.

    This is good, but I suggest you add fried onion and sliced hard boiled egg on top before serving.
