Spinach with meat

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 bowls of spinach(chopped)
    • 1/2 kg boneless mutton or fillet
    • 2 tsp ginger, garlic paste
    • salt
    • 2 tomatoes(peeled and chopped)
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • 3 whole green chillies
    • 2 onions (finely sliced)
    • 1 tsp methi seeds or 3 tsps methi leaves
    • 1 tsp red chilly paste
    • 2 tbsps oil

    Directions

    1. Boil meat with little salt and ginger,garlic paste. The water should dry up and meat tender.
    2. Shred into thick strands. Keep it aside.
    3. Heat oil, add methi, whole green chillies and onions, saute till onion golden brown.
    4. Add tomatoes,turmeric and chilly paste,braise for 2 mins on medium heat.
    5. Add spinach,lower heat add salt mix it cover and cook till spinach cooked,add shredded meat ,mix it and cook till dry.
    6. Serve hot with roti or parathas.
