Bhoona Ghosht

Dry dish

Ingredients non vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1/2 kg mutton.
    • 1 big onion sliced.
    • 2 tbsps ghee or oil.
    • Dry masala( few cardamoms, 2 bay leaf, few cloves,2 tsps jeera).
    • 2 tsps ginger,garlic paste.
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
    • 1 tsp red chilly powder.
    • 3 large tomatoes or 2/3 cup canned tomatoes.
    • salt.
    • 2 green chillies(chopped).
    • 2 tsps dhania jeera powder.
    • corriander leaves for garnishing.

    Directions

    1. Heat oil, add  dry masala, when they splutter, add onions, saute till golden brown.
    2. Add ginger, garlic paste, braise for 1 min on low heat.
    3. Wash meat and add to it, add salt, dhana jeera powder,chiliy powder,and turmeric powder, mix well and fry for 10 mins.
    4. Add tomatoes(fresh or canned),add water, cover and cook on low heat till meat tender (you can cook in pressure cooker if in a hurry)
    5. Increase heat and braise till meat is dry.
    6. Garnish with coriander leaves and chopped chillies.
    7. Serve with naan and onion salad.
