Moong dal chutney

Can be had with Rice.

This is the second recipe for a lip smacking chutney.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup moong dal soaked for 1/2 an hour
    • 6 red chillies
    • 1 tsp rai
    • 2 tsp jeera
    • 1/4 tsp hing
    • 1/2 lemon juice
    • 2 tsp oil
    • salt to taste
    • a bunch of fresh coriander leaves.


    1. In a kadai heat oil, when it hot enough add rai, jeera, redchillies & hing. Let it cool.
    2. Grind it with the soaked dal, salt & coriander leaves.
    3. Squeeze lemon juice in it.
    4. This chutney tastes very good with hot rice & ghee.



    This recepie is a waste. As the dal is raw, it left the taste bad and the whole stuff not cooked or tasted properly
