spinach pureed and mixed with spices and curd

this recipee has been passed on from my mother in law.tastes excellent with rice or chapattis.

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • 1 tsp cooking oil
    • 2 cups chopped spinach
    • 2 to3 chillis
    • 2 tbsp coconut (grated)
    • salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp curd

    for tadka

    • 1 tsp oil
    • 1 tsp mustard seeds
    • 1 tsp urad dal

    Directions

    1. Heat oil.
    2. Add spinach and green chillis and fry till water evaporates and spinach looks cooked.
    3. Remove from fire,add coconut,salt to taste and grind to a very fine paste.
    4. Add curd and dilute according to your taste.
    5. Heat oil add mustard seeds and when they splutter, add urad dal and pour over the spinach.
