Shezwan Beef

Sizzling Treat

Goes well with lemon rice and steamed vegetables .

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1/2 kg beef undercut ( cut into strips )
    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 1 tsp coarsely grounded garlic
    • 1 1/2 tsp ajinomoto
    • 1/2 tsp white pepper 
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp sugar
    • 1 cup carrots jullienes
    • 11/2 cup thinly cut cabbage
    • 1/2 cup cut spring onions 1" pieces
    • 1 tbsp ginger julliennes
    • 1  (julliennes  )capsicum 
    •  1 cup stock
    • 1/2 cup ketchup
    • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
    • 1 tsp heaped cornflour dissolved in 1 tbsp of water

     

     

     

     

    Directions

    1. Heat oil , add garlic and ginger then the beef and stir briskly for 5 - 10 minutes .
    2. Then add vegetables , seasoning  , chilli sasuce and stock . Cook for sometime , so that the meat is soft that is 10 minutes as we have used undercut meat so it will not take much time .
    3. Add cornflour paste and cook till the gravy thickens.
    4. Serve sizzling hot with rice and steaned vegetables .
