Spicy Haleem

Its a heart favourit and traditional dish, really tasty must try it.

Ingredients non vegetarian 8 servings


    • 250 gm dal chana
    • 100 gm dal mong
    • 100 gm dal masoor
    • 100 gm dal mash
    • 100 gm rice
    • 250 gm daliya
    • 1 kg chicken
    • salt to taste
    • 1 tb.sp red chilly powder
    • 1 t.sp termaric powder
    • 2 tb.sp garam massala powder
    • 3 onion
    • 4 green chillies
    • 2 tomato
    • 25 cloves garlic
    • ginger julian cut
    • 1 cup oil
    • 1/2 cup ghee

    Directions

    1. soak all dals in water atleast 1 hour before cook
    2. add chicken, 2 onions, tomato, garlic, red chilly powder, salt to taste, termaric powder, and 2 glass water in pressure cooker
    3. let it cook for 20 mins in pressure
    4. now add oil and fry chicken untill the bones are separated remove them all
    5. take a big vessel and add all dals in it with 1 big jug of water
    6. add some salt and termaric powder too
    7. cook them until soft all
    8. then add rice and daliya
    9. add some water if needed
    10. when every thing gets soft grind it in grinder
    11. or you can mash it with a hand beater
    12. after grinding it mix chicken in it and add garam masala powder
    13. now heat ghee in a pan add onion slices when get brown add ginger and chopped green chillies for a while heat it and pour it over haleem vessel
    14. your hot and spicy haleem is ready to eat
    15. serve with lemon juice

    Is this the real way to make haleem? I never heard Haleem having tomatoes and haldi in it!!!!!!!!!!

    hey,ur recipe of haleem is really very gud i've tried 1 tym.can u tell me that can i use beaf or mutton in place of chicken?
