Dadpe Pohe

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • 2 cups of thin poha
    • 1 onion
    • 1 tomatoes
    • 1 cup grated coconut
    • 3 green chillies
    • cilantro
    • juice of one lemon
    • 1 tbsp oil
    • mustard seeds
    • half tea spoon hing
    • a small piece of ginger

    Directions

    1. Take two cups of thin pohe and add grated coconut and finely chopped onions.
    2. Then add one finely diced tomatoes, then add a piece of grated ginger.
    3. Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds, and hing and pour it over the pohe.
    4. Add the juice of one lemon and mix thoroughly well. Keep this covered for about 15 minutes.
    5. Add finely chopped cilantro before serving. An excellent low fat afternoon snack. A great favouite among Maharashtrians.

    dear Ruchi, U neither drain nor fry the poha. Since u keep them covered for 15 min, they become soft-hence the name-dadpe(which means hidden).

    hi. shudnt we drain the poha with water.. or shudnt we deep fry them . can u explain it again
