Recipe by Mrs.Soujanya Hariprasad of Santa Clara, US

Make your own Khova at home & prepare delicious sweets any time.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup Milk
    • 1 cup Milk powder
    • 1 cup finely grated Paneer (homemade or store bought)
    • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter

    Directions

    1. In a non-stick pan, melt Butter on medium heat.
    2. Add Milk, Milk powder & Paneer. Mix well. Keep stirring & mashing with a spatula frequently.
    3. When it starts to boil, stir continuously & keep scraping from the sides so that they burn at the bottom or the sides. It takes about 15 mins.
    4. The whole mixture comes together like a soft dough. Turn off the heat & remove to a large bowl. Cool it   completely.  Mava is ready to make any sweet. Don't forget to add sugar while making sweets.

Note: Mava will always have a coarse texture when cooled and not a soft texture.
