Beetroot Sabzi

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • 1 cup Beetroot (finely chopped)
    • 1/2 tspn oil
    • Mustard seeds
    • Asafoetida / Hing
    • 4-5 Curry leaves ( finely chopped)
    • 10-15 grains of Gram dal / channa dal
    • 15-20 grains od Black gram dal / urad dal
    • 1- 2 Green Chilies ( finely chopped)
    • 2-3 tspn fresh grated coconut
    • salt for taste
    • Garam Masala( better if Karnataka garam masala)

    Directions

    1. Heat the pan allow oil to heat
    2. season with mustard seeds as they splutter add channa dal & black gram dal.
    3. Now add curry leaves & green chillies
    4. Add beetroot & allow it to cook.
    5. Now add the garam masala, salt & grated coconut
    6. Garnish with corriander leaves & serve hot with Roti,Paratha or Rice
