Gobhi Ka Paratha

Paratha stuffed with cauliflower

It is a healthy snack mostly taken by North-Indians.

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings

  • ½ cup Cauliflower, grated
  • 1 no. Green Chilies, chopped
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, chopped
  • ¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ¼ tsp All spice powder
  • 50 gms. Flour
  • 1 tbsp Clarified Butter
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Knead flour adding some water.
  2. Mix grated cauliflower, green chilly, coriander leaves and other spices.
  3. Fill this mixture into the ball of kneaded flour.
  4. Spread it on a flat surface to make a shape of 6 inches round paratha.
  5. Heat a flat pan and fry the paratha on both sides using desi ghee till golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with yogurt and butter.

When we add salt to gobhi, lot of water comes out n it's not easy to roll, I suggest squeeze the water out just before filling inside

Also add some grated ginger to the grated cauliflower and other ingredients and chopped dhania.

the smell of raw cauliflower is not good shudnt v cook it before stuffing?

Dear Romana, the owner of the recipe has suggested using " GRATED " fresh Cauliflower, hence, pre-cooking the same is not at all required. Grated vegetables hardly take any extra time to get cooked. In other words, when heated, it's almost certain that most of the grated vegetables get cooked to their perfection along with the other ingredients specified in the recipes too, all at the same time.
