This is a nice recipe, but is it necessary to use a pressure cooker to cook chicken and that to for 4 whistles? Broiler chickens cook in next to no time, so even cooking in a pressure cooker, once it comes on steam and gives off 1 whistle it is enough, then shut off the stove and let it cook under pressure till it cools down.

Sorry to reply this late Anantha Padmanabhan.Heat oil in a pressure pan and add the ingreients mentioned in Step 1 and saute for 2 mins. Then, add the ingredients mentioned in Step 2 and saute for 3 mins.Next, add the ingredients mentioned in Step 3 and saute for 3 mins. Then, add the ingredients mentioned in Step 4, check for enough water and pressure-cook upto 4 whistles.Open the pressure-pan after 10 mins and saute till water runs dry.That'all!.Happy Cooking!.
