Chicken and rice cooks differently . I am not an expert but does Kachi chicken means half cooked chicken? Because I heard beef is cooked rare which is not fully cooked. Could you please add missing details to this recipe

Very Good! I tried this recipe and it came out good. I was not sure about using the raw chicken in the biryani so, I cooked the chicken first and then removed all the bones from the chicken and then assembled it with the rice in layers for biryani. I will definitely be making this dish again. Thank you.

In kacchi biryani whether it is mutton or chicken used ,raw meat is always used ,mutton needs to marinade a longer time with raw papaya .Plus kacchi biryani needs a lot of practice to make .Safe making pucci biryani ,but kacchi biryani definitely tastes good .You can put crushed gloden brown fried onions to the marinade ,lemon juice as well as lots of hara dhania & pudina .

U need to cook the chicken half if u are putting it as a layer in between rice or else the chicken wil not get cooked. [OR] If u wish to make it without cooking the chicken, then place the chicken at the botton of the vessel and then put half cooked rice above it. Finally cook on low flame.

Compared to chicken, rice cooks faster. You are half boiling the rice and not the chicken. In the receipe the chicken does not gets cooked. You are not even using water the layer of rice at the bottom gets burnt. Please explain

this biryani is what my grandmother used to make and i still make it also. the milk you can use 1 cup and warm it up a for a few seconds in the microwave and add the saffron to it. also you can skip the red chilli and add the green chillies instead. also warm up some oil and add it after you add the milk.

You said, marinate the chicken for 3 hrs .. and than add the same to the half cooked rice. Is it that you add the raw chicken to the rice?

a variation to your chicken biryani would be to add a layer of boiled masoor dhal, maybe a few boiled eggs and also fried potatoes. Enjoy!!!
