Hi Misty, There is firm mexican cheese called Queso Fresco which you can use as a substitute of paneer. I have used homemade paneer sometimes. So you can use that, yes it is little time consuming but worth a try. Curd is Youghurt, dahi. Do try this recipe and let me know your comments. Thanks

Hi- What is "curd"? Also is there a good substitute for paneer, I live in a rural area where such delectables are not available. I have hand made it before but it is time consuming, when I need a quick fix what else would work? Thank you and I can't wait to try the recipe. - Misty*
