You may use vinegar or condensed milk in place of egg. The quantity for about 1.5 cups of flour is approx 2 tsp if you use vinegar (make sure you add vinegar after adding all ingredients) n 1/2 a can (approx 7 oz) if you use condensed milk. Another way to make a the cake soft is to add a flavored pudding or custard mix to whatever cake recipe you have. This will give you a soft, moist, and supple cake. Also you may use 1 cup orange juice for 1.5 cups flour but you'll have to remove the cocoa from your recipe (as this might give an orange flavour which wouldnt go well with chocolate ) & cut down the sugar in the recipe to half.

Flax meal (it is powdered flax seeds) is a good replacement for egg. It is rich in fiber and good for reducing cholestrol .Usually for each egg you can dissolve one tsp of flaxmeal in water or milk. So if recipe calls for 3 eggs you can add 3 tsp of flax meal. Basically wherever the recipe calls for egg you can add flax meal. Hope this helps.
