what is the difference between caraway seeds & fennel seeds

caraway seeds are also known as shahjeera, it looks like black jeera which has been roasted, this is used in marinades for red meats, also in plain cakes. Fennel seeds are sauf, the small variety is used as a mouth refresher after a meal, the bigger variety is used in cooking.

Hi !!! Caraway seeds are Ajwain, and Fennel seeds are baddi Saunf. (Both are good for digestion, but has a strong flavour when used in cooking) Thanks Shyne
